‘Nothing In My Life Will Ever Be That Bad,’ Fetty Wap Details How He Found Out About His Daughter’s Death

Fetty Wap of “Trap Queen” fame got emotional in a recent Instagram live stream with fellow rapper Fat Joe, sharing the moment he found out that his 4-year-old daughter Lauren Maxwell had passed away this past June.

In a clip of the stream obtained by the Neighborhood Talk, Fetty Wap revealed that he was grabbing one of his favorite meals in Miami when he received the devastating news, saying, “I lost my daughter June 24th. I got that phone call at 12:36 PM. I’ll never forget this day in my life…I seen my baby mother’s number pop up on my phone. And at the time, we wasn’t really getting along like that. So I’m thinking to myself, like, ‘Oh, I’m about to see my baby.’’

The New Jersey native added that Lauren’s mother, Turquoise Miami, “dropped her head” when he answered the call. After Fetty Wap hung up the phone, he claims that she called him a second time with tears in her eyes, continuing, “She’s like, ‘Get over here, right now! Come here, right now! Come here, right now!’ Then she showed the police officer, the police officer was like, ‘I’m sorry.’”

“So I say that to say this, nothing in my life will ever be that bad. That’s the worst thing that can ever possibly happen to me in my life.”

Fetty Wap opened up to the “Lean Back” rapper. “And I say that to say my head’s always high, bro. I was in a real dark place after that, bro. It was two weeks after my 30th birthday.”

Firing back at Fetty Wap for bringing up their late daughter during the public sit-down, Turquoise Miami also went live on Instagram to vent her frustrations. According to the Neighborhood Talk, she commented, “If nobody’s asking, stop volunteering…I don’t like it. When I feel better enough to talk about my child and post my child, I will because I’m the only person that has that right. I’m the only person. A n***a that f**ked one time and disappeared does not have that right.”

As Sister 2 Sister previously reported, Lauren passed away in her sleep after falling sick for one month. Her exact cause of death has not been

revealed to the public.

Our hearts go out to both parents as they continue to process their daughter’s tragic and sudden loss.
