NLE Choppa took to social media to celebrate the recent birth of his son, Chozen Wone. The “Shotta Flow” rapper‘s partner, Marissa Da’Nae, gave birth to the little boy on Wednesday, August 16. 

The post revealed that the couple named the baby boy  Chozen Wone Da’Shun Potts. The announcement was accompanied by a carousel of sweet photos and videos from the hospital on the day of the newborn’s birth. 

NLE wrote in the caption, “ChoZen Wone Da’Shun Potts. 8/16/23. The Best Gift God Has Given This Year, Excuse My Humor She Was In Pain So I Had To Be A Comedian LOL. ALL PRAISE TO THE MOST.”

Some of the moments featured included Chozen Wone lying on his 20-year-old father’s chest, videos of Da’Nae becoming sick on her hospital bed and in the bathroom, and NLE jokingly encouraging Da’Nae to “push.” NLE claimed to be doing his best to cheer her up as he snapped photos of Chozen Wone’s footprint and a video of him playfully holding the newborn’s middle finger up. 

News outlet The Shade Room reported on the news following the birth and prompted NLE Choppa to hop in the comments to provide an in-depth explanation for his son’s unique name. 

In the most liked comment under the post, NLE stated, “Chozen Wone. ZEN – Zenful Energy From The Divine, Won – he already won at life, One- the chosen one. Da’Shun – My middle name Lashun, Marissa’s Is Da’Nae.” 

The rapper continued to explain, “His name unique to us all that really matter but it’s a reason why his name is that way. We come out the womb different !”

NLE fans took to the comments of both posts to congratulate NLE and Da’Nae on Chozen Wone’s successful birth. This is the couple’s second child together, and NLE Choppa shares a third child with his ex, Mariah.
