Nicki Minaj’s Hidden Hills Neighbors Want Her Out Because Of Her Husband’s Sex Offender Registry

Some of Nicki Minaj’s Hidden Hills neighbors have started a petition to have her and her husband, Kenneth Petty, a registered

sex offender, removed.

Neighbors in Minaj and Petty’s wealthy Los Angeles County enclave of Hidden Hills are upset because Petty was convicted of attempted rape in the first degree in April 1995 for an assault on a then-16-year-old girl the previous year.

Petty, sentenced to 18 to 54 months in jail for the attack and labeled as a category two registered sex offender in New York state, served four years in prison.

After pleading guilty to failing to register as a sex offender in California in 2020, Petty got sentenced to three years probation and a year in home detention.

Beverly Bardan, the complaint, initiated the Change.org petition to rally fellow neighbors to get rid of the Petty family. She and the other signees feel Petty is a risk to the residents.

“Nicki Minaj and her husband, registered sex offender Kenneth Petty, have purchased a house in our neighborhood of Hidden Hills at [address removed]. Kenneth Petty is a level 3 sex offender, convicted for the attempted rape of a 16 year old girl, and has a high likelihood to reoffend. He was also found guilty for killing a man. He is currently under house arrest for failing to register as a sex offender in California as law demands it,” the petition reads.

“The Petty couple moving in would lead to appraisal value of our homes to go DOWN due to safety concerns. It would lead to children and women being a target. We, the residents of Hidden Hills, must put our resident’s safety first. Don’t wait to receive a letter from the government saying a predator has moved in near you. DO NOT allow this dangerous sex offender to live near you, SHOW that you are against sex offenders in our Hidden Hills neighborhood!”

Petty, 45, is on house arrest following his recent conviction for failing to inform the proper California authorities when he and Minaj relocated from New York to the West Coast, as required by law.

The woman’s petition was started in December 2022 and has received more than 500 signatories.

Minaj, 40, has supported her husband and declared him innocent of the rape conviction that landed him in prison.

Petty was charged with first-degree rape of Jennifer Hough. Minaj’s husband negotiated a plea agreement, and the charge got lowered to attempted rape.

Hough sued Minaj and Petty in 2021, alleging them of harassing her and attempting to get her to retract her claims. She said that the entertainer’s staff had promised her $500,000.

Hough refused the offer and maintained her tale. Following her refusal, she said she had “suffered an onslaught of harassing calls and unsolicited visits.”

Hough voluntarily withdrew all charges against Minaj earlier this year. According to sources, the parties did not negotiate a financial settlement.

In August 2022, a video surfaced of Hough appearing to withdraw her charges against Petty, but her lawyer questioned the integrity of the video.

“This heavily edited video conversation with Jennifer and Black (the same man who threatened her life on IG live) does not deserve a comment.” Hough’s representative, Tyrone A. Blackburn, told Radar Online. “Ask that rapist to explain the transcript from his plea hearing where he admitted to attempting to rape Jennifer with a knife at his grandmother’s house.”
