According to Maxim, the “We Go Up” musician is set to bring her style and sensibilities to the magazine by enabling her to influence editorial, profiles, covers, photography, and future events for the publication. She will also bring her creativity to the sports betting world through her multi-year global partnership with MaximBet and introduce more women to the brand.
Maraj will reportedly be working on parties, partnerships, merchandise, fan experiences, and branding designed to fuse sports, entertainment, celebrity culture, and betting together.
As such, the Queens native, a lifelong sports fan, will serve as the special advisor to MaximBet’s Board of Directors and work on the company’s iGaming plans.
“I don’t think I’ve ever been prouder of a collaboration. Merging business savvy power moves with my natural, creative, sexy, fun, and fashion-forward expression is just so spot-on as it relates to this partnership,” she said in a press release. “I’m ready to fully step into my potential as a young, influential Queen and owner and open doors for others to dream big. Get ready for the sexy parties and remember: scared money don’t make NO MONEY!!!! HA!!! Place your bets!!!! Let’s GO!!!”

Maxim’s editor-in-chief Sadar Biglari said its team was “thrilled” to work with the Queens native.
“We are thrilled to partner with Nicki Minaj,” Biglari explained. “She is an extraordinary entrepreneur and leading artist of her generation, a combination that will be transformative for Maxim.”
MaximBet CEO Daniel Graetzer added that Maraj was a “brilliant businesswoman,” and her new strategic advisor role was “invaluable” to the brand.
“Nicki is best known around the world as a mega superstar, but we know her as a brilliant businesswoman,” Graetzer said. “Her role as a strategic advisor to MaximBet will be invaluable to us. She’s built one of the most powerful brands in the world, her own, and she’s applying that same savvy and creativity to our lifestyle sports betting brand. I couldn’t be more excited to be working with her — she is creative, smart, passionate, and bold. There is no one better suited to helping us take this form of entertainment mainstream.”
Recently, the Trinidadian rapper dropped three singles: “Do We Have A Problem?” featuring Atlanta rapper Lil Baby, “Bussin,” also featuring Lil Baby, and “We Go Up,” featuring New York rapper Fivio Foreign. She also appeared on internet sensation rapper Coi Leray’s hit song “Blick Blick.”
Maraj is scheduled to make her Essence Festival debut in New Orleans on July 1 and headline London’s Wireless Festival two days later on July 3.
