You may remember Lindsay Shaw from Nickelodeon’s hit television show Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide, where the former child actress played Jennifer Mosely, known affectionately as Moze on the series.
Now, the 32-year-old child star has gone viral in the worst way, with many dragging her online over a since-deleted Tik Tok video of Shaw apparently making fun of Black Tik Tok dancers.
The video, obtained by OnSite, shows a group of Black performers doing a viral Tik Tok dance before cutting to Shaw.
“Hey, are we ok? What the f**k is this?” she said in the Tik Tok video before mocking their dance moves.
“I see,” she continued.

A storm of online backlash quickly followed, with many social media users questioning why the Pretty Little Liars actress decided to come for the Black creatives. Shaw deleted the video from her Tik Tok page and, according to OnSite, released a follow-up video, crying and responding to online “hate” that she’s received in her direct messages.
“I just have to say right now that the hate in my inbox is not okay,” she shared, continuing, “I did not mean anything in any kind of way. I am learning every day, as I think everybody is…Crocodile tears? No dude, this is my soul out there.”
She then apologized and added that she would be “taking a step back from social media” for her mental health.

Ned’s Declassified lead star Devon Werkheiser uploaded a Tik Tok video to his one million followers, addressing the backlash aimed at his former co-star. Acknowledging the success of Addison Rae and other white Tik Tokers over Black dancers and originators who often don’t receive credit, he asserted that Shaw is a “hater on all sorts of things” regardless of race and is simply a “reactionary and defensive” person.

Daniel Curtin Lee, a Black actor who played Simon Nelson Cook AKA Cookie on the Nickelodeon series, also voiced his opinion over the trending topic. Talking to TMZ, he said that Shaw came to him after the social media blow-up but, instead of taking his advice, decided to take the “crying route.”
