NAACP Image Award-winning TV host, rapper, actor, and comedian Nick Cannon said his kids’ mothers “don’t need to” get along.
Cannon spoke candidly about their relationship on a recent episode of The Big Tigger Morning Show on Atlanta-based radio station V-103.
“Do all the baby mommas get along?” a host on the show asked him.
“They don’t have to,” the Wild N’ Out creator responded. “They get along with me.”
As previously reported by Sis2Sis, he is currently expecting his ninth and tenth babies with Alyssa Scott–the mother of his deceased son, Zen–and his ex-girlfriend Lanisha Cole. The mother of his eighth child, Bre Tiesi, is also pregnant.
“I notice that you take [maternity] photos with everybody,” The Big Tigger Morning Show co-host pointed out.
“Yeah, I believe everyone deserves that,” Cannon told her. “I don’t keep no secrets. They know how I move. I multitask.”
He has 11-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe with ex-wife and singer Mariah Carey, son Golden, five, and 17-month-old daughter, Powerful, with ex-girlfriend Brittany Bell and almost one-year-old twins Zion and Zillion with Abby De La Rosa.
“I don’t like to overgeneralize any of my situations, but I got a [few] sets of twins. It all worked out,” he said. “It’s like yo, [I’m] out here doing numbers, and the fact that I embrace all my children–I love children–that’s where we at with it, but I wasn’t setting out to be Father Abraham. I just embrace it [though] because a lot of people have [many] children as well, and they keep it quiet, or they don’t talk about it. I lean into mine. I’m like, yeah, I got a lot of kids.”
Despite his love for children, The Masked Singer host recently revealed that he had a vasectomy consultation, saying he wasn’t trying to “populate the earth.”
“I already went and got my vasectomy consultation. I ain’t looking to populate the Earth completely, but I’m definitely looking forward to taking care and loving all the children that I currently have.”
