Newly-Released Book Features Allegations That NeNe Leakes Choked Former RHOA Co-Star Kim Zolciak

Real Housewives of Atlanta alums Kim Zolciak and NeNe Leakes have gotten into some heated arguments while filming the show. But according to a new book based on the reality television franchise, a colossal altercation occurred off-camera, with Leakes allegedly choking Zolciak during an argument the two had while filming season 2 of the series.

Last month, Dave Quinn released his new book Not All Diamonds and Rosé: The Inside Story of The Real Housewives from the People Who Lived It.

People Magazine touches on the alleged argument between the RHOA co-stars, with Shereé Whitfield and former producer of the show Carlos King offering their accounts of what went down.

Claiming that the altercation occurred at Atlantic Station, People reported that Whitfield shared in the book, “Kim and NeNe were waiting to film a scene shopping at a boutique. But NeNe was upset because Kim had supposedly been talking about her behind her back at the A-List Awards.”

c, who is rumored to return for RHOA’s upcoming season, continued, “She lunged at her twice. Kim ended up calling the police but dropped the charges. The cameras were inside the store, so they missed the whole thing.”

On Leakes and Zolciak’s tumultuous relationship during filming, King reportedly added, “The arguments between Kim and NeNe were always next level. All season 2, they went back and forth, fighting and making up. Then there was an incident that happened off-camera where NeNe allegedly tried to choke Kim in a Target parking lot.”

The former co-stars were known to butt heads on RHOA, with Leakes and Zolciak getting into the infamous tour bus fight a season after the alleged choking incident. During the show’s first reunion special, Leakes fired at Zolciak, “Close your legs to married men,” in reference to a mystery man the

Don’t Be Tardy star was dating during season one.

Though Zolciak and Leakes have not publicly commented on the allegation, the two appear to be on better terms. In April 2020, the reality television stars went live on Instagram to discuss family, memories and life updates.
