A new natural salon called Good Hair Bar has officially opened. Naturalicious’ founder Gwen Jimmere is the owner, and the salon is located in Metro Detroit.
The natural hair care company’s founder opened Good Hair Bar on Aug. 27. The event began with a special ribbon-cutting ceremony and continued throughout the day with VIP salon services, photoshoots, nail services, massage therapy, and hair styling.
“Welcome to Good Hair Bar! We are officially open to the public for ALL your natural hair and spa needs! Come visit us!” the salon’s social media team wrote via its Instagram page.

In another post, Good Hair Bar’s team uploaded a photo of a client’s wash n go results.
“Curly Cut plus Wash N Go courtesy of @goodhairbar [star eyes emoji],” they wrote.
Good Hair Bar is a salon and spa for individuals with naturally kinky-curly hair ranging from curl textures– three to four. It not only promises clients amazing hairstyles on their first visit, but a healthy hair transformation within 90 days.
“We are the one-stop shop for your natural hair and spa needs, and we promise you an amazing experience every time because you deserve only the best,” Jimmere said in another Instagram post. “Have you booked your services yet? Or Good Hair Gurus are here for you.”

Jimmere reportedly founded Naturalicious with the intention of helping women with natural hair have fabulous tresses without the hassle. As the first African American woman to hold a natural hair care patent, she invented a formula that reduced her wash day routine from 5 hours to 30 minutes.
Her products can be found in over 1200 stores globally, including Whole Foods, ULTA and Sally Beauty. They can also be found at her salon which is located at 37320 W. Seven Mile Road in Livonia, Michigan 48152.
