Legendary R&B group New Edition is set to go on a 2023 tour with fellow R&B acts Tank, Keith Sweat and Guy.
According to TMZ, New Edition will be headed back on the road for its newest musical excursion, the Legacy Tour. Its original members, Bobby Brown, Ralph Tresvant, Michael Bivins, Ricky Bell, Johnny Gill, and Ronnie DeVoe, will all perform for what is reportedly shaping to be the biggest show of 2023.
Singers Tank, Keith Sweat and every member of hit R&B group Guy Teddy Riley, Aaron Hall, and Damion Hall will also join the 30-day tour. It officially kicks off in Columbia, South Carolina, at the Colonial Life Arena on Mar. 9.
“Few recording artists can attest to a superior 40-year career that stands the test of time, but New Edition can. When we partnered with NE for ‘The Culture/ tour, although I knew it would be stellar, their show exceeded my expectations. The guys were nothing short of miraculous. We are excited about partnering with New Edition to further the legacy of the foundation they have already laid,” Collective CEO Gary Guidry, who worked with the legendary group on its 2022 Culture Tour, said in a statement.
New Edition and Guy reuniting is a pleasant surprise to fans, as the two groups haven’t toured together since 2016.
Presale tickets to The Legacy Tour will reportedly be available for American Express cardholders beginning on Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. local time until Dec. 15 at 11:59 p.m. local time. Tickets for the general public go on sale the following day on Dec. 16, at 10 a.m. local time and will range from $59.50 to $179.50.
New Edition will drop new music that won’t be performed on the upcoming tour, “giving their fans a whole new experience.”
“We have a brotherhood that’s unstoppable. We take pride in what we do. New Edition is forever,” Brown told TMZ.
