New Details Emerge During Opening Statements In Megan Thee Stallion Shooting Case Involving Tory Lanez

New details have reportedly emerged during opening statements in the Megan Thee Stallion shooting case involving Tory Lanez.

Rolling Stone reported that during his opening statement, Los Angeles County Assistant District Attorney Alexander Bott revealed that Megan’s former bestie and assistant, Kelsey Harris, would testify. He said Kelsey would testify that she allegedly saw Tory shoot the “Thot Sh*t” rapper in both her feet on the night of Jul. 12, 2020.

“Kelsey will tell you that she just saw her close friend get shot by the defendant,” Bott told jurors during the latest trial on Dec. 13. He added that the young woman rushed to Megan’s aid as the musician lay bleeding in a random driveway in the Hollywood Hills. As such, Bott said, Kelsey will testify that she freaked out when Tory approached her and her then-close friend after he fired five shots.

“Kelsey, she’ll tell you she didn’t know if the defendant still had this gun. She didn’t know what the defendant was capable of, if he was going to continue his assault,” Botts said, sharing even more details in the case. “Her defensive instincts kicked into gear, and she approached the defendant. She’ll tell you the defendant physically assaulted her at that point. He pulled her by her hair, and he either punched her or slapped her.”

He also alleged that shortly after the shooting, Kelsey sent several text messages to Megan’s bodyguard, Justin Edison, which may prove that the “Thot Sh*t” artist was shot in her feet. Rolling Stone reported that an alleged text chain of the friend and witness showed her writing “Help” to Justin. In another, she wrote “Tory Shot Megan,” and in the last one, she wrote “911”.

TMZ shockingly confirmed that during the Tuesday trial, Megan said, “I wish he would’ve just killed me if I knew I’d have to go through this.”

In 2021, Sis2Sis reported that Tory was accused of shouting “Dance b*tch!” while allegedly shooting Megan. On Dec. 12, the “It Doesn’t Matter” singer’s defense attorney George Mgdesyan claimed the conflict all began when Megan allegedly became “jealous” that Tory spent time with Kylie Jenner in the pool at a house party in Hollywood Hills.
