NeNe Leakes, known for her appearances on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” is facing a difficult situation as her oldest son, Bryson Bryant, has been arrested on felony drug possession charges.

The 33-year-old was taken into custody on July 3 and was hit with several charges, including possession of a scheduled II controlled substance, violation of probation, loitering, and giving a false name, address, or birthdate.

According to Radar Online, the substance in question was Fentanyl, a potent synthetic opioid. The crime occurred

around 1 am, and Bryson was also charged with misdemeanor “loitering/prowling.”

According to the arrest records obtained by Page Six, Bryant was arrested at a residence in Lawrenceville, Georgia, after allegedly evading the police and falsely claiming that he knew the people who lived there.

During the arrest, he provided the police with his younger brother Brentt Leakes’ name and gave them the address of a residence that his mother had sold years ago.

Following his arrest, Bryant was booked into the Gwinnett County Jail, and his bond was set at $3,700. He also faced charges of violating probation in another case. NeNe Leakes has not yet commented on her son’s arrest.

This latest development adds to the legal troubles that Bryson Bryant has faced over the years. In 2011, he was arrested for a DUI after failing to stay in his lane while driving.

The following year, he was detained for driving with a suspended license. In 2015, he was arrested for giving officers a false name during a raid at a McDonald’s in Georgia, where he was allegedly involved in a scheme to print counterfeit checks.

Some of Bryson’s legal troubles were previously documented on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta.” In Season 5, which aired in 2012, he was arrested for allegedly stealing razors from a local Walmart. NeNe Leakes decided to leave him in jail to teach him a lesson about the consequences of his actions.

Bryson Bryant has a hearing scheduled for Wednesday, where his legal situation will be further addressed. As this unfortunate incident unfolds, NeNe Leakes and her family will undoubtedly navigate this challenging time with the hope of a positive resolution.
