The Real Housewives of Atlanta OG Nene Leakes revealed she hadn’t watched the show since her departure.
In an exclusive chat with Carlos King on his show Reality with the King that was posted on Tuesday, Nene admitted to never watching full episodes of the show since she left but has seen clips on social media.
“I’ve never watched this since I left, but I have, honestly, watched the clips that have come down social media,” she said. “But me turning my TV on and tuning in is something I just cannot do because, as far as I’m concerned, they’re all sitting in my house.”
She continued, “The house that I built, and it seemed like it’s tumbling down.”
Fellow RHOA castmate Shereé Whitfield seemingly responded to Nene’s claims by posting a “reminder of the day” on Tuesday, July 25, which read, “OUR house…The beauty of an ensemble cast.”
Yes, “our” was in all caps.
Later in the interview, between the 16-minute and 17-minute mark, Carlos and Nene began discussing her history with Shereé.
When asked if she liked Shereé, Nene answered that she didn’t dislike her, but they weren’t best friends.
She explained that before the RHOA cameras rolled, she and Shereé were close.
“It’s like we haven’t connected or clicked in years, and I’m not sure why,” she said. “I do feel like once I started on the show and I stayed on the show, and she was on and off the show for many seasons. The truth is I was the show, and it just felt like all of the just kind of turned against me, and… our friendship just got lost in the mix.”
She concluded, “I think Shereé is fun when she wants to be. We’ve had a good time together. She’s a Capricorn; I’m a Saggitarius. We have always gotten along in the past before the cameras ever started rolling. Once the cameras started rolling, our friendship just became nothing.”
Nene made her official BRAVO exist in 2020 after the 12th season.
