Baby Tru Xavier Naughton Lewis came out weighing 6 Ibs, 12 ounces and 20 inches long. The actress posted photos of Tru’s feet and his tiny fingers around her index finger.
Sis2Sis previously reported in February that Naturi and Two were expecting their first child together. Before marrying Two, Naturi had her five-year-old daughter, Zuri.
In April, after announcing she was having a baby, Naturi got candid about the birthing complications she endured when having Zuri, raising awareness of Black maternal health. Naturi shared that she had to undergo a C-section despite wanting a natural birth.
“My water was broken for me, I was induced because I wasn’t progressing quickly enough, and I never got a chance to try to labor,” she wrote. “I really wanted a natural birth, but unfortunately, it was quickly decided that I would have a cesarean.
She continued, “Due to a complication, I was ultimately glad they got my baby girl out safely, but I never really understood what was happening! I didn’t know my options, I didn’t prepare my body for labor beforehand by practicing labor positions, and I felt like I wasn’t in control of my birthing experience.”
She gave birth to Tru through the VBAC method, a vaginal birth after a c-section.

She shared with her followers a poem about the reality of motherhood in May, writing, “I’ve learned that motherhood is…a privilege just as much as it is a sacrifice. It is joy just as much as it is pain. It is leaning in and falling out. It is peace, and it is chaos! It is a bouquet of laughter dipped in a bucket of tears!”
She referred to motherhood as a “beautiful mess,” “a golden badge of pride,” darkness and light” and “a choice.”
