They’re both first-time moms celebrating Mother’s Day similarly but separately. UK-born model Naomi Campbell, 51, and Philadelphia-born rapper Eve, 43, both posed for the camera holding their bundles of joy in two different Instagram posts with the UK in the background. Their captions inform the world that it was their first Mother’s Day last Sunday. While Mother’s Day for the United States isn’t until May 8, the UK celebrates theirs on March 27.
Campbell’s post includes three different photos. One of herself with her baby girl, the second of her mother and daughter, and the third is an old photo of her and her mother with the caption, “1st Mothers Day UK. God’s Greatest Blessing !!” Eve’s post is just a photo of her and Wolfe with the caption, “Mother. Nature. My 1st Mother’s Day (UK).”

Since Campbell is from the UK, it’s no surprise she’s accustomed to celebrating the holiday earlier than the US does. Eve, on the contrary, is American and celebrated earlier than what she’s probably used to. Although Eve didn’t post anything regarding the holiday last year, the year before, she went to Instagram to wish her mom a happy Mother’s Day on May 10, 2020.

The Philly rapper’s pregnancy was fairly public, while only a handful of people knew about Campbell’s plans to become a mother. Campbell chose not to disclose her path to motherhood publicly but did release her baby’s news in May 2021. She stunned the world by revealing her daughter on British Vogue’s March 2022 cover. The surprise caused many to believe Campbell adopted the baby, which she confirmed through the magazine that her baby girl is indeed her biological child; however, the name remains unknown.
“She wasn’t adopted – she’s my child,” Naomi told British Vogue.
Although Wolfe is Eve’s first biological child, she is stepmom to her husband’s four children, Lotus, 19; Jagger, 17; Cash, 15; Mini, 13.
Happy Mother’s Day across the pond!
