Mother-Daughter Duo Jada Pinkett Smith and Willow Smith Admit to Considering BBL

On a recent episode of Red Table Talk, mother-daughter duo Jada Pinkett-Smith and Willow Smith admitted

that they once thought about getting Brazilian Butt-Lift (BBL) surgery but opted out.

“I’m glad we’re talking about this today, the BBL’s, because I was considering getting one,” Jada said.

Willow chimed in right after her mom, adding that she was also thinking about getting a small BBL, but then she opted to build her desired body in the gym.

“Me too,” Willow said. “I think let’s be real, okay. I considered getting the tiniest little bit. But then I just got in the gym and got it anyway.”

“I told her. I said, ‘You want a butt? One thing your mother knows how to do is build a butt,’” Jada laughed. “And you built it to the point that people thought you got surgery.”

Although the Smith girls revealed their wishes of having wanted some plastic surgery done, they discussed the high health risks of the popular surgical procedure.

Dr. Arthur Perry, a Harvard-trained certified plastic surgeon, hopped into the conversation at the Red Table to discuss the nitty-gritty of BBL’s and explained why he refuses to perform them.

According to Dr. Perry, the highest risk and most dangerous part of a BBL surgery is fat being accidentally placed into a blood vessel. The surgeon added that it’s a probable incident because there is no way for surgeons to tell where precisely they are injecting fat. He even said that it’s a “game of chance.”

“Now there are things that plastic surgeons are trying to do,” he said. “They’re trying to develop technology that will tell people when they’re in the muscle. I don’t think that’s good enough because some of these very large veins go through the fat also.”

Despite both of them choosing not to forego the curve-enhancing procedure, Jada said she hasn’t ruled out the possibility of having surgical anti-aging procedures.
