Michael B. Jordan had a run-in with a former high school classmate on Friday, Feb. 24, where he wrongfully but playfully accused her of calling him “corny.”
The encounter happened during the Atlanta premiere of his 2023 movie Creed III, his directorial debut. Lore’l, The Morning Hustle Show co-host, introduced Jordan and noted that the two went way back to when they both attended Chad Science Academy in Newark, New Jersey (Jordan was born in Santa Ana, California, but grew up in New Jersey).
When you make someone the butt of your jokes in High School then have to interview him on the red carpet of his film:
Michael B. Jordan sure ain’t forget Lore’l was one of the people who would make fun of him back in the day

Jordan cut in with, “Oh yeah, I was the corny kid, right?”
Lore’l laughed and said, “No, I did not say that. Misquoted for sure.
Jordan said he heard it, and attempted to change the subject, moving it to his achievement in the Creed franchise.
Fortunately for Lore’l, receipts prove she wasn’t the one who called him “corny.” Jordan was referring to Lore’l’s third episode of The Undressing Room podcast, which she co-hosts with Dominique Da Diva.
While discussing Lori Harvey and Jordan, the time when they were still together, Dominique was the one who called the Creed III actor corny, but not in a demoralizing way.
“I think that Michael B. Jordan is just like a nice, corny guy,” Dominique said at the beginning of The Undressing Room‘s episode three. “I don’t mean that as a slight, right? I mean, we all know that the nice, corny guys treat you the best.”
Lore’l interjected, sharing that she went to school with Jordan and admitted that she and other students would make fun of him because he always brought his headshots to school.
“To be honest with you, we teased him all the d**n time ’cause his name was Michael Jordan…let’s start there, and he was no Michael Jordan. And then he also would come to school with headshots and back then…we lived in Newark, that’s the hood…so, we would make fun of him like, ‘What you going to do with your little stupid headshots?'”
Now, the 36-year-old is making millions from movies like Creed and Black Panther. Lore’l then implied that she could’ve been in Harvey’s shoes.
