According to The Jasmine Brand, Miami’s 99 Jamz morning show, The Trick and Trina Morning Show, has officially been pulled off the air.
According to the outlet, Trick Daddy and Trina replaced The Rickey Smiley Morning Show as of January 6, 2020, but the show has come to an end for an unknown reason.
Trick Daddy and Trina have been the voices and faces of Miami and hip-hop culture for nearly 20 years and ultimately decided to level up their relationship outside the studio. The pair had already co-starred together prior to the show on VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Miami and even considered releasing a rap album together at a point.

On the radio show, the two talked about topics relative to Miami natives, being as they are from Liberty City.
“With the radio show, I am giving you a mix of Trina the MC and entertainer, as well as Katrina the businesswoman and the personality speaking to some of your favorite stars,” Trina told the Miami New Times. “I have become the interviewer at the forefront of our show. Infuse this with Trick Daddy’s raw personality, and the listeners will hear a different side of our chemistry.”
In one episode, Tina faced heat after she brought up the controversial topic about the death of George Floyd. At the time, she made some questionable comments on air about the protesters and looters that had hit the streets of Miami.
“They need to make the curfew at 6 pm to 6 am,” she said. “That’s how I feel. Keep everybody off the streets. These animals off the streets that are running ’round in Miami-Dade County actin’ like they have escaped from a zoo. Lock them up at 5 pm so the streets can be nice and clean. That’s how I feel.”
After facing significant backlash, she later recanted what she had said and apologized.
