The Duke and Duchess of Sussex snapped during their red carpet appearance Tuesday night at the Ms. Foundation Women of Vision Awards: Celebrating Generations of Progress & Power in New York, according to E News.
Meghan Markle walked the carpet wearing a shimmering gold Joanna Ortiz gown with a diamond-shaped cut-out bodice and Tom Ford heels. She stood beside her husband, Prince Harry, who looked dashing in a Black suit.
The event occurred at the Ziegfeld Ballroom, where Meghan accepted her Women of Vision Award for empowering and inspiring women and young girls globally.
Along with Harry, Meghan attended the event with her mother, Doria Ragland, who donned a black dress for the celebration.
Tuesday was Meghan’s night to shine, but, of course, someone had to ruin it. In one video, Meghan, Doria and Harry exited a Black SUV to enter a Hertz car rental building as paparazzi swarmed them. It was the usual “Look over here, Meghan,” until a British heckler’s voice stood out and ruined everything.Â
“Meghan, how do you feel about being a part of two broken families?”
Thankfully, other photographers kindly told the heckler to “f**k off.”
Regardless, Meghan took the stage that night to accept her award and gave a beautiful speech.
“I am a woman who remains inspired and driven by this organization and by those around me,” she said. “You know, repetition is recognition as they as. And the narrative on repeat that surrounded me allowed me to recognize the part of my greater value and purpose in life was to advocate for those who felt unheard, to stand up to injustice and to be not afraid of what you know is true and what is just and what is right.”
She continued, “So, whether your inspiration comes from a magazine on your coffee table from your childhood or an article that you read yesterday, an experience that you had today, maybe tonight even, or a moment that you will just walk right into tomorrow. Suppose the point is, it’s just never too late to start. You can be the visionary of your own life. You can charter a path in which what you repeat in your daily acts of service in kindness, in advocacy, in grace and in fairness, that those become the very things that are recognized by the next wave of women, both young and old, who will also choose this moment to join the movement and make our vision for an equitable world reality.”

The Women of Vision Awards came after Prince Harry attended his father’s, King Charles III, coronation. Despite Princess Kate Middleton allegedly saying Meghan wasn’tÂ
invited to the coronation, the celebration’s date was the same as Archie’s fourth birthday, and no kid deserves to celebrate his special day with a racist family. Kudos to Meghan for not attending and staying home to celebrate Archie’s special day.Meghan and Harry have dealt with much scrutiny in the media, which is one factor that led to them leaving the royal family. And the couple still needs to catch a break.Â
Recently, Meghan’s “family,” half-sister Samantha Markle, half-brother Thomas Markle Jr. and father Thomas Markle, all seized the opportunity to slam her in the press by interviewing with 7News Spotlight.
