On Thursday, “WAP” rapper Megan Thee Stallion announced on her Instagram that she would be taking a hot girl break from social media and making music for some time.
In a series of images of her wearing a chrome-plated respirator while submerged in an aquatic tank, The self-proclaimed “Hot Girl” writing, “Megan Thee Stallion is recharging! Due to the demands of the Hot Girl lifestyle, <Meg> has now entered a period of regeneration to prepare for what’s next. In her absence, mgmt will manage all social posting on behalf of Thee Hot Girl Coach. [Thee Hotties] lead a brave //RESISTANCE in anticipation for the return of their Fearless Captain!”
While she may be taking a break from music, her fans will miss her.
Social media is buzzing with fans supporting the artist for taking time to attend to her mental health needs.
The rapper went on a roller coaster ride in 2020. She earned her first and second No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot 100 with her Houston idol, Beyoncé, for their hit collab “Savage” remix and Cardi B’s “WAP.”
The artist also went through a heart-wrenching public incident with resident b***h a** n***a Tory Lanez when the balding Canadian allegedly shot her. The gravity of the incident motivated the artist to fight for Black women publicly.
Meg also released her debut album Good News; and made it to the Time 100 list of the most influential people globally, MSN reported.
Megan Thee Stallion posted a message of reassurance for her fans on Twitter, saying, “I’ll be back when it’s time.”
