Megan Thee Stallion Drops $250,000 For Future’s Feature On ‘Pressurelicious’

“Savage” rapper Megan Thee Stallion had no problem dropping a serious  bag on Atlanta rapper Future for a feature on her new single “Pressurelicious.”

On August 8, the 27-year-old college graduate shared how the two collaborated on “Pressurelicious” with the host of the L.A. Leakers podcast, Justin Credible.

In the six-minute interview, he asked, “Okay. So you and Future– how does this song come about?”

Megan responded, “So, it’s a really crazy story. I had the beat for ‘Pressurelicious,’ right? And I  recorded the song, and I recorded the song one way. And I was like, ‘You know what? This would really sound hard if Future was on it.’”

She continued, “So, I feel like being a woman in the industry, reaching out to a man trying to get a feature is always going to be a task. You don’t know what to expect. You don’t know how it’s ’bout to go.”

Megan said she point-blank decided to ask Future the cost of a feature. When the “Lick” rapper found out he charged $250,000 for a feature, she said, “Bet,” and proceeded to withdraw the money from her bank account.

“I was like, ‘Okay, bet. Somebody go pull $250,000 out the bank and go drop it off to Future,” she said, laughing.

For Megan, time was of the essence. The two emcees had been in the same city, and she wanted him to bless her track immediately. She dropped a backpack off to the “Jump Man” rapper with the $250,000 inside, and the rest was history. She also revealed she got more than she bargained for with  Future. Instead of spitting a few bars, he spat over the entire track, giving the Houston native her money’s worth. Megan admitted that she had to redo her parts to flow with his.

“He rapped over the whole beat,” the 27-year-old added, “He gave me the whole Future experience. Then when I got his verses, I was like, ‘I’ve got to write some new verses because I’ve got to make this make sense.’”

Megan certainly, had no problem dropping new verses, as she demonstrated by dropping a hot freestyle on the show.

“Traumazine,” the album featuring “Pressurelicious” just hit #1 on iTunes.
