According to Hot New Hip Hop, Meek Mill threw his 34 birthday party in Miami, Florida’s Club Liv on May 7 and allegedly denied entry to rapper and mentor Rick Ross due to his ongoing issues with his boss’s record label Maybach Music Group (MMG).
In a live stream on Twitch, DJ Akademiks revealed that an unidentified artist and record executive got into a confrontation at a party. Fans deduced that he might be talking about Mill and Ross.
“There is an artist that’s signed to another artist,” Akademiks said, spilling the tea.
“The artist that’s signed to another artist, they were having a party. The artist they’re signed to allegedly tried to enter the party and go about certain places, and I heard that there was a big issue. One of your favorite artists who’s claiming that they’re ‘lit,’ they’re a ‘boss,’ they do ‘whatever’ — they’re signed to another n***a,” Akademiks said.
“And allegedly, they’re beefing with the other n***a cuz they’re tryna get off the label,” the instigating deejay continued. “I hear they want off the label. This been an ongoing conversation. The n***a who they’re signed to showed up to their party, [and] they were not happy. When that person showed up, there was issues,” he continued.
Later tweets surfaced revealing that it was, in fact, the two rappers that beefed.
Meek not letting Ross into the party is petty. Must want out that contract.

Although no violent outbreak came from the squabble, rumor has it that Meek allegedly wants out of his contract with MMG, which is the source of the tense feelings that translated into denying Ross entry to the club on the night of his birthday.
Whether the gossip is true or not is yet to be disclosed.
