Meagan Good and her Christian-based motivational speaker husband, DeVon Franklin, are calling it quits on their nine-year marriage.
People Magazine reported that the pair split amicably.
“After much prayer and consideration, we have decided to go into our futures separately but forever connected,” Meagan and DeVon said in a joint statement to the publication. “We celebrate almost a decade of marriage together and a love that is eternal. There’s no one at fault. We believe this is the next best chapter in the evolution of our love.”
Meagan, 40, and DeVon, 43, added that their marriage was a blessing and expressed gratitude for their almost-decade union.
“We are incredibly grateful for the life-changing years we’ve spent together as husband and wife. We are also extremely thankful to God for the testimony being created inside us both and for blessing our lives with each other.”
As news of the couple’s divorce spread like wildfire on Twitter, reactions of their pending divorce and Meagan potentially being back on the market yielded hilarious responses from male thirst traps.

There weren’t any indicators that DeVon and Meagan’s relationship was on the rocks. Earlier this month, the pastor celebrated his wife’s success on the Amazon Prime series Harlem.
“Y’all not ready for this!!! I’m so proud of my love @Meagangood! She’s one of the most talented actors on the planet, AND she’s funnier than you may know, but I’m so glad you finally get a chance to see her do it all as Camille Parks in the new Amazon show #Harlem @Harlemonprime!! It streams on DEC 3rd on @amazonprimevideo 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 P.S. this will be your new favorite show…sex in the city has nothing on #harlem.”

In 2017, the couple published a book that made the New York Times Bestseller’s List. “The Wait” took readers on a journey through the celebrity couple’s courtship, celibacy and subsequent marriage. Meagan and DeVon met on the set of Jumping The Broom. They got engaged in May 2012 and tied the knot in June of the same year.
We wish the two the best.
