The talented and hilarious comedian and actor Martin Lawrence will finally be honored with a Hollywood Walk of Fame star on April 20.
While the Hollywood Walk of Fame has yet to make a press release, Walk of Fame Producer and Hollywood Chamber of Commerce VP of Media Relations Ana Martinez confirmed the news on Twitter.

Lawrence also posted the announcement along with his reaction to Instagram.
“Ya boy is gettin his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! An absolute honor to be among icons of entertainment!” The caption read.

“We did it, bro. All the way from Landover, watching D.C., all the way to Hollywood. We did it, God bless,” Lawrence said after hearing his name called in the television category.
Others in the television category were Mindy Kaling (The Office), Ralph Macch (The Karate Kid) and Ellen Pompeo (Grey’s Anatomy).
Many rushed to his comments section to wish him congratulations.
“So d**n deserved! I love you Martin congrats,” B Simone wrote.
“Congrats!!!!!!” Tisha Campbell commented.
“Congrats and well deserved,” Michael Blackson wrote.
Lawrence, born in 1965 in Frankfurt, Germany (because his father was in the U.S. military and stationed in Germany), got his big break when he hosted HBO’s Def Comedy Jam.
The comedian took on acting in the ’90s, starring in iconic films like the Bad Boys (with Will Smith) and Big Momma’s House franchise. He gifted the Black community the hilarious sitcom Martin, which aired on Fox and co-starred Tisha Campbell, Thomas Mikal Ford and Tichina Arnold).
He also joined actress Raven Symoné in the father-daughter dynamic duo Disney film College Road Trip.
