Marjorie Harvey’s ex-husband alleged Steve Harvey called him a “punk ass” without ever meeting him. 

In an interview with entertainment vlogger Tasha K that won’t be wholly released until next Friday, Jimmy L. Townsend claimed Steve referred to him as a “punk ass” to his son, Jason. 

Townsend recalled Steve telling an interviewer about the time when Jason directly told the comedian that he wasn’t his father.

“He told Steve Harvey one day, ‘You’re not my father,'” Townsend told Tasha K. “‘Jimmy Townsend’s my father.’ When Jason told him that, it kind of pissed him off, and he told Jason, ‘I love your mama, so I got to love you. Where’s that punk ass daddy of yours?'”

Townsend continued, “I don’t know if it was from insecurity or what. He a multi-millionaire. I ain’t nobody. You ain’t got to worry about me.”

Before Marjorie tied the knot with the Family Feud host in 2007, she and Townsend, a former drug kingpin, were married. 

While Townsend spent around three decades in prison for attempting to purchase a large amount of cocaine, Marjorie moved on. He was surprised to learn that the man she loved had huge lips, claiming Marjorie didn’t like men with big lips.

“She used to check dudes with big lips,” Townsend revealed. “She called them soup coolers.”

Although Townsend was incarcerated, Marjorie kept in touch even while she was dating Steve. Townsend had yet to meet the Johnson’s Family Vacation actor, but he spoke to him to express gratitude for taking care of his children.

Townsend revealed that he and his former lover talked three days before she walked down the aisle to assume the Harvey name. 

“She said, ‘Jimmy, Steve, he’s so much like my dad.’ When she said that, I said, like your dad? She said, ‘Yeah, you’ll like him, Jimmy, because he’s just like my dad’…I knew how her dad was, he was a real deal.”

He took her seriously when she compared Steve to her father but added, “She BS’d me on that.”

Townsend has publicly talked about his ex-wife and even revealed details about their marriage and the crimes she was allegedly involved in while they were married. In his memoir, “Snakes in the Garden,” Townsend unleashed details about his and Marjorie’s married life before his incarceration.
