Mariah Carey was not happy with her ex-husband and ladies’ man Nick Cannon after discovering that he went against her wishes by buying their children– Moroccan and Monroe – cell phones. 

The twins, affectionately called “Roc and Roe,” got expensive gifts from their wealthy dad for their birthdays. He discussed what happened on his new show What’s Poppin’? and shared a clip on Instagram.

“I gave Roc and Roe cell phones for their 10th birthday – but Mariah didn’t want me to! WAS I WRONG?! What’s the best age for kids to get a phone? Hit me in the comments!”

 

In the clip, Nick also disclosed that he and Mariah had agreed that Roc and Roe were too young for phones at age eight. But then he explained that the two decided that 10 was a perfect age– until the children turned 10.

Mariah reneged on the deal. She was concerned that the children would catch wind of their father’s fertile ways through the internet. Against his ex-wife’s wishes,

The Wildin’ Out host purchased the cell phones in May and attempted to hide the devices from the “Vision of Love” singer.

She is still pissed. 

“Mariah is still mad at me to this day,” Nick told the audience. 

There may have been a method to the “Shake It Off” songstress. Since the pair divorced in 2016 after being married for eight years, Nick has had five other children by three different women. Three of those babies were born this year. The Drumline actor repeated what his ex-wife told him about the phones, “But Mariah was like, ‘Uh-uh, they ain’t gonna be Googling us! Learning about all their new brothers and sisters, no. We aren’t playing.’”

In the end, Nick asked Mariah to forgive him on camera.
