Versatile entertainer Nick Cannon upheld that the narratives about him and his ex, Mariah Carey, aren’t true.

In an upcoming interview with Jason Lee on the Jason Lee Show, Nick set the record straight about his “daily” interaction with the Grammy award-winning singer.

He told Jason that Mariah had an altruistic attitude toward his situation — referring to him fathering 12 children — and continuously asked about his wellbeing, according to an exclusive clip obtained by Page Six.

“She’s high frequency,” Nick shared. “She always asks me, ‘You aight? How you doin’? You handling it all?'”

The Wild N Out host continued, “When we talk daily, she’s just checking in on my spirit.”

Nick noted the fallacies in the media surrounding him, which is why he and the “Always Be My Baby” singer level with each other about what rumors to expel. Mariah prefers not to discover something about him through the media and constantly reminds him not to bring “none of that bulls**t” into her house or, as he called it, “Manor of Carey.”

He cited the story about the Billboard award singer seeking full custody of their preteens, Moroccan and Monroe. An anonymous source disclosed to Radar Online that Mariah was seeking primary custody because Nick rarely had time to spend with the twins. Yet, the Love Don’t Cost A Thing actor declared the story false.

“I think there was a narrative out there that she was, like, seeking custody,” Nick remarked, and Jason commented that Mariah didn’t sound like that kind of person. “We had dinner the night before that; I was like, ‘Did something happen that I don’t know about?’ But it’s like people will create low-frequency messages to try to say that there’s something wrong.”

That’s why the two ensure they’re “on the same page every day” to avoid believing “bulls**t” that pops up in the news.

Nick has opened up previously about being depicted poorly in the media because he’s in a polyamorous relationship and has multiple children with multiple women. In a recent interview with the Los Angeles Times, he shared he suppressed his true feelings about the media highlighting his having 12 children and not his accomplishments.

“When you think about my lifestyle, I have to generate at least $100 million a year…Everybody thinks Ryan Seacrest has tons of money. I do everything that he does times 10. Well, not times 10 — times three. Because he does a lot.”

“Right now, the narrative is, ‘He has a bunch of kids,'” he said. “But I’m really at a place now where I don’t care what people know. I’d rather just operate.”

The Masked Singer host mostly loathed the “deadbeat” title attached to his name in the public solely because he has multiple kids.

“I’ve been villainized,” the new Beat Shazam host acknowledged. “I hear all the time: ‘You can’t be present for all those children.’ So, therefore, I get this deadbeat dad title.” 

The entertainer has admitted the difficulty of juggling work and equally dispursing time with all of his children, but he makes the most of the time he does get with him, even if it means taking them to important meetings.
