Malaysia Pargo Slams the Door On Drama And Says Goodbye To ‘Basketball Wives’

Malaysia Pargo, the reality TV star known for her role on Basketball Wives, has recently announced that she will be leaving the show for good.

In an episode that aired on February 27, Pargo revealed that her decision was based on her commitment to prioritizing her mental health and well-being.

“I enjoy doing Basketball Wives. It’s been 10 years,” Pargo said. “But at a point, you have to realize and say, ‘I love a baby that don’t love me back.’ So I have to walk away from this group and this show.”

For many years, Pargo has been a mainstay on VH1’s popular series which follows the lives and drama of women who are married to or dating professional basketball players.

The show has been known for its heated arguments, tense confrontations, and explosive fights, all of which can take a toll on the mental health of its cast members.

In her confessional, Pargo acknowledged that the stress and drama of being on the show had become too much for her to handle.

“Who knows what the future holds,” Malaysia replied. “But what I do know is I don’t care about how much of a dollar amount is behind it, you have to stand up for yourself.”

For more than ten years, Pargo has been a part of the franchise. She was previously wedded to NBA athlete Jannero Pargo from 2004 until 2014 and was a cast member of Basketball Wives LA between 2011 and 2016. Following this, she was cast in the reinvigorated version of the initial Basketball Wives series in 2017.

The announcement comes after Pargo’s fallout with Jennifer Williams. The reality star said she’s OK with never speaking to Williams again, “So we should just let it be.”

Fans are showing their support of her decision, applauding her for taking steps to protect her peace.

One user wrote, “I applaud Malaysia she is doing what Tami Roman did and that’s walk away before she had to stomp a bitch in their face! insecure trash like Jennifer desperately need shows like this #BasketballWives”
