Loved Ones Say Jamie Foxx Is Not Going To Die, Medical Complication Did Not Happen On Set Of ‘Back in Action’

Jamie Foxx, who is recovering from a month-long “medical complication,” may be in serious condition, but he is not going to die, loved ones told Natasha Blasick, his co-star in his latest Netflix film, “Back in Action.”

“He was like, ‘No, no, no, he’s recovering,'” Blasick told Entertainment Tonight after getting in touch with one of Foxx’s loved ones.

“They are running tests and still trying to figure out what exactly happened,” a loved one close to the situation said in regards to Foxx’s medical complication.

On April 20, fellow comedian and loved one Martin Lawrence, who may know what medical complication Foxx has, said he was doing better, People reported.

Tracey Morgan and Steve Harvey, who are both aware of the medical complication, have also weighed in, saying they hope he pulls through.

Foxx is in a Georgia hospital, where his family and loved ones, who flew in to see him, according to TMZ, are asking fans to pray, but want his privacy respected by not sharing exactly what he has been medically diagnosed with.

“Beat Shazam” co-host and daughter Corinne Foxx, a writer and executive producer of the Netflix show “Dad Stop Embarrassing Me!” featuring her father, said on April 12 that she has been very vague about what her father is going through, but noted that he is under great care.

“We wanted to share that, my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday. Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time,” his daughter wrote on in a now deleted post Instagram.

Fortunately, thanks to quick action and great care, he is already on the road to recovery. We know how much he is loved and appreciate your prayers. The family is asking for privacy at this time,” his daughter wrote on Instagram.

Some social media users are spreading misinformation about his medical complication, with the Internet buzzing about Foxx having a stroke or suffering from a brain injury.

On April 14, CNN reported that a source said the medical complication did not occur on set and that Foxx was not transported to the hospital by an emergency vehicle.

According to reports, Foxx is not only able to communicate, but is also cracking jokes with his family, who are by his side.

While Foxx is currently in good spirits with his family, back in December while filming “Back in Action,” the star reportedly had a breakdown on set.

The Netflix film follows a retired CIA agent, played by Foxx, who is called back into action to save the world with his former partner, played by co-star Cameron Diaz, who has come out of acting retirement. The film’s production in London was rocky, with Foxx firing several people on the spot out of frustration, including several other senior producers, The Sun reported.

“This movie has been a bit of a nightmare,” a source told The Sun.

It is unclear if Foxx’s medical complication had anything to do with his breakdown, but production was halted due to an incident involving a crew member who swindled Foxx out of more than $41,000 in U.S. cash by selling the actor a Rolex watch.

There have also been several delays due to bad weather in London, and the firing of Netflix staffers has caused production to be slower than expected.

Diaz is considering retiring again, sources told The Sun.

In April 14, a source told CNN that Back in Action is “currently underway and expected to wrap up next week.”
