Lori Harvey is taking the high road when it comes to her ex, Future, and his comment shading her in 42 Dugg’s song “Maybach.” Future is featured on the song and raps about Harvey, the daughter of comedian Steve Harvey. Lori Harvey once dated Future.

The rapper made a petty a** comment about her in the song while using her father’s name to do it. The video was posted on May 27.

“Magic City, I’m the owner. Tell Steve Harvey I don’t want her. Must have forgotten to tell her daddy she begged me not to leave. Put baguettes on your ankles damn near up to your knees. She didn’t have a choice but to go f*** a lame after me. Realest n**** hit the tw*t, she damn near OD’ed.”

When rapper 42 Dugg was asked about the song’s lyrics on The Breakfast Club

, he said that he knew Future’s remarks about Harvey would make the song go viral.

“It’s going down,” he said. “I told his ass ‘You needa say that shit three more times.’…..I was loving it….Future knew too, though. He knew what was going on. Future a bad motherfucker.”

Harvey and Future dated for around 8 months before breaking up. Harvey began dating actor Michael B. Jordan several months after her breakup with Future. As Sister 2 Sister previously reported, Harvey is clearly busy in her new relationship with Jordan and did not respond to the chatter surrounding the song. In an interview with Bustle, the 24-year-old model said that she was taking the high road. 

Harvey, who is known to not say much on social media, spoke to Bustle before the song was posted. She discussed how she usually handles the negative press, social media and rumors.

“I think they get from me that I try to just not let any type of negativity or rumors or anything like that make me stoop down to that level and go back and forth with it or whatever,” she said. “Just maintain my position of I know who I am, I know what’s going on. I just try to stay up here and take the high road in every situation. So I think that would probably be what they get from me, because I am private, so I like to just give enough.

Harvey also said that she wants a man who gets along with her family. “If they don’t love you, our time together will probably be short,” she said. Luckily for Jordan, he has met Steve Harvey and the rest of the family, and they approve.
