Loni Love has come to the defense of co-host Jeannie Mai after her ex-husband insulted her in the wake of her pregnancy announcement with Jeezy.
When Mai announced that she and her new husband, rapper Jeezy, were expecting a child, her former spouse Freedy Harteis decided to take the low road.
After a fan commented that Mai’s ex-husband was probably upset at the announcement, he commented that he upgraded from trash to treasure when he divorced The Real
co-host in 2017.Harteis eventually deleted his nasty comment but not before someone captured a screenshot. Somewhere in his shade, he offered a “congratulations” without an exclamation mark and went on to say he did not give a “sh*t.”
It’s not certain if his comment stemmed from their divorce that was precipitated in part by Mai being vocal and ardent about her plans to remain child-free in direct conflict with his desire for parenthood. They were married for a decade.
Well, Loni was not here for his insults of her co-host and friend and jumped in the comments to let him know.
“Auntie Loni here: This sounds like a woman answering… @thehollywoodhunter you better then [sic] this ..” Loni wrote. She continued by asking that Harteis display the same grace Mai showed when he announced that his girlfriend (now wife) was pregnant within six months of their divorce announcement.
“We were happy with your children being born, so show the same grace to Baby Jenkins,” Loni said
Hopefully, Harteis, who now has two children with his second wife, can learn from this and move on. There is no reason to insult his ex-wife with whom he has no remaining connection if he is happy with his new life.
As for Loni, it’s always a blessing to have friends who are willing to come to your defense. A pregnant woman does not need that kind of negativity.
