Long Hair, Don’t Care: Sexyy Red Flaunts Her Gorgeous INCHES On Instagram

Who said Black women’s hair can’t grow? Rapper Sexyy Red showed debunked the myth recently on social media.

The “Pound Town” performer posted on Instagram on Sunday her hair growth story, which included before and after photos.

Sexxy Red had hacked much of her hair off because it got matted under her wigs. After cropping her hair, it grew back” way healthier and curlier.”

Admirers rushed to the comments and praised Sexyy Red for her natural hair.

“So Pretty,” City Girls JT commented.

“I told them Sexyy
really is sexy!!!!! You know you sexy when nobody even trying to figure out [your] real name
IT’S SEXYY!!!”

“Gorjusssss,” SZA commented.

“That’s how Ik I’ve been following you for a while, Sexyy been had inches while n***as trying to be funny.”

“First thing they try to talk about is Black women wearing wigs, whole time FULL head of braids underneath. H*e a** n***as, stop hating.”

“Every female rapper got mad hairrr
I’m finna start rapping,” a person commented under the Shade Room’s post about Sexyy Red.

“I love Sexyy Red idgaf! She’s authentic, and she don’t look like these other girls.”

“Now look at y’all ‘she’s so pretty’ after absolutely dragging her to the face of the earth
she always been that girl, and y’all hated that.”

While there are many reasons why Sexyy Red’s hair got matted under her wigs, natural hair and wig maintenance are essential, from washing and detangling to moisturizing.

Many myths surround Black women’s hair, one being that it doesn’t grow. But Black women’s hair varies based on hair type. Some people have tighter coils, which would make their hair appear shorter in its natural state. It doesn’t excuse the ignorant misconceptions about Black women’s hair.
