South Carolina Senator Lindsey Graham (R) says if Republicans win the majority in the House of Representatives in 2022, the impeachment of Vice President Kamala Harris (D) is not off the table.
Speaking on Fox News Sunday, Graham says that Democrats “opened up Pandora’s box” by going after a second impeachment against former president Donald Trump.
Donald Trump was impeached in January for his role in inciting the violence that occurred at the Capitol building on Jan. 6 and failure to react to the situation at hand.
However, rather than setting the GOP’s sights on president Biden should there be a time for retribution, Graham offers a target more appealing to the Trump base: a Black woman of Indian decent and the daughter of immigrants who raised money for peaceful, Black Lives Matter protestors in June of 2020.
Said Graham, “I don’t know how Kamala Harris doesn’t get impeached if the Republicans take over the House because she actually bailed out rioters, and one of the rioters went back to the streets and broke somebody’s head open. So we’ve opened Pandora’s box here, and I’m sad for the country.” This comes from reporting by TheGrio.com.
Earlier this month on Sean Hannity, Graham targeted Vice President Harris again. “What more could you do to incite future violence than to pay the bail of the people who broke up the shops and beat up the cops? How’s that not inciting future violence? Be careful what you wish for my Democratic colleagues, be careful what you wish for.”
In November, Graham appeared to congratulate VP Harris for her historic win by fist-bumping her on the Senate floor (above). He later recanted any such meaning in that action telling Newsweek he was just saying, “Hello.”
