Lil Nas X Warns “Industry Baby” Music Video Isn’t Kid-Friendly Days Before Premiere

Lil Nas X gave parents a disclaimer about his upcoming single “Industry Baby” a couple of days before it drops.

The 22-year-old rapper has faced criticism in the past from parents who think all his music should be kid-friendly. On Tuesday, he warned parents they wouldn’t like the content of his new song “Industry Baby.”

“Saying this in advance so y’all won’t blame me,” Lil Nas X tweeted. “THE INDUSTRY BABY VIDEO IS NOT FOR YOUR KIDS!”

A few minutes later, he responded to a parent who claimed their two-year-old loved his music and complained about it not being Kidz Bop-approved.

“My 2-year-old loves your music. How can you not make it appropriate for everyone,” the parent tweeted.

Lil Nas X, per usual, had the perfect response.

“Bless ur 2-year-old’s heart, but I need to be a slut sometimes, sir,” he replied.

A teaser for “Industry Baby” dropped on Monday and featured a mock trial for his Satan shoes. The Satan shoes, a pair of customized Nike shoes, landed him in hot water with Nike. He advertised the shoes on social media following the release of the controversial music video for his single “Montero (Call Me By Your Name).” The real lawsuit was settled

in April, per Billboard.

Lil Nas X embraced his inner Eddie Murphy by playing a slew of roles, including the judge, a couple of lawyers and a mouthy juror. Although the phony courtroom appearance was supposed to be focused on the shoes, the questioning from the prosecutor centered on his sexuality.

“Mr. Nas X, are you gay?” Lawyer Nas X asked.

“Let me rephrase the question: Do your momma know you gay?” he later added.

“Yes,” Defendant Nas X answered.

After the confession, Judge Nas X sentenced him to “5 years in Montero State Prison.”

Even the video’s ending credits were hilarious. After listing his name a few times, the credits read, “Damn, how many roles this n-gga got?”

The “Industry Baby” video will premiere on Friday.
