ATL-based women’s empowerment event, Life Styled Honors, will celebrate ten years of fashion, beauty, sisterhood and admiration at its upcoming event.
According to a press release, writer, influencer, and women’s advocate Maui Bigelow has announced the big event’s honorees. Sponsored by the Breonna Taylor Foundation–a non-profit organization named after the slain 27-year-old who died from police brutality in 2020–the honorees will be given the Brave Like Breonna Award. The 2023 award will be given to the deceased woman’s younger sister, Juniyah Palmer, and Crayon Case CEO and beauty mogul Raynell “Supa Cent” Steward.

Additional honorees will be announced over the coming weeks, the press release said.
“I believe women can form great bonds and celebrate one another,” Bigelow said about the event marking its tenth anniversary. “When you’re confident and can hold your own, you see each other as queens, not competition – and that’s what LifeStyled Honors is all about.”
Past honorees of the “highly anticipated event” include Carol’s Daughter, founder Lisa Price, Tamika Palmer, mother of Breonna Taylor and founder of The Breonna Taylor Foundation and founder & CVO of the Me Too Movement, Tarana Burke.
LifeStyled Honors’ five days of festivities will begin with Cocktails and Karaoke on April 19, 2023, and the Black Women Are Lit Dinner Experience will be returning with a twist, as it’ll have a sneaker ball.
“BWAL fuses a curated selection of food, fashion, and conversation to celebrate the hard work, dedication, and impact of Black women, while
also speaking on how to approach our mental, physical and emotional healing with the same vigor,” the event’s release indicates.
Weekend events continue the following day, with the LifeStyled Awards Ceremony honoring designer and Project Runway Season 16 contestant Kenya Freeman, author Ashley Antoinette, entrepreneur Jasmine Hall and others. It will then be followed by an all-white social gathering where hundreds of guests will gather at Suite Food Lounge in the heart of Atlanta.
The April 22, 2023, event is sponsored by plus-sized fashion company Lane-Bryant as well as the Sunday brunch on April 23, 2023.
