Coming to America actress Leslie Jones sat down for an interview on DJ Whoo Kid’s show Whooarmy Live on October 5. Jones revealed that she attended high school with the co-founder of Death Row Records, Suge Knight, and she used to have a massive crush on him.
“When I went to high school with Suge Knight, first of all, I was in love with him because he looked like one of the DeBarges,” the 55-year-old comedienne explained. “So, I was in f****** love with him. He had that long a** Jheri curl. He was not f******* with me, but he would be nice to me ‘cause I was Coach Carpenter’s teacher aide.”
Although she described Suge as the “same big a** bully,” she recalled one time that he gave her butterflies.
“One day, he came in there, smiled and winked at me and I thought I was gonna have a motherf****** conniption,” Jones said.
She told Dj Whoo that her childhood love of Suge Knight went so deep that she even got into an argument with her cousin because he liked her instead of Jones.
“He liked my cousin, and I was so mad,” Jones laughed, remembering the sophomoric feeling of jealousy. “I didn’t speak to my cousin for a month because Suge liked her. And I was like, ‘That’s f***** up. You know I was in love with him.”
She continued to explain some of the things she was thinking before, “Why would you take him from me?’ And she was like, ‘Bi***, I literally don’t want him. I don’t wanna f*** with him! Are you stupid?’”
Aside from confirming that Suge was still a formidable figure in high school, the short interview included comments and conversations about other big names: Eazy E, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dogg.
