A Washington State judge has officially issued an arrest warrant for former Disney star Kyle Massey after he failed to appear in court not once but twice now.
According to TMZ, on Monday, a $100,000 warrant was placed for Massey’s arrest.
As reported previously by Sister2Sister, he was initially scheduled to appear in court on June 28, which he allegedly did not go to because he was unaware of the arraignment date. Now he is claiming the same of his second court date.
Seeming as Massey cannot make the time or prioritize his arraignment dates, King County, Washington prosecutors have had enough.
The Shade Room reported that Massey’s lawyer, Lee Hutton, snapped back at the claims from the prosecutors and said that despite his and the rest of Massey’s legal team’s best efforts to contact King County District Attorney’s office allegedly, they were unable to receive a response.
Hutton also said that Massey has not been served with any warrant and that they are “concerned with the misrepresentations made in court. Indeed, we will move forward to defend these allegations but also determine why due process has not been followed.”
Massey is being sued by a 13-year-old girl in 2019, who is alleging that he sent her sexually explicit videos and photos of himself.
He was later formally charged with one felony count of communication with a minor for immoral purposes in relation to the lawsuit.
The unidentified young girl filed a lawsuit against Massey for $1.5 million for allegedly “numerous sexually explicit text messages, images, and videos” sent to her on Snapchat.
