Kodak Black announced the birth of his newborn baby girl, as well as her name, on Jan. 21 via Instagram.
With a hefty blunt in hand, Kodak gushed about his daughter and what she meant to him in the celebratory video saying, “You know what’s crazy…today, 21/22, my baby girl coming like, I can’t wait to see her…she coming today…all the missing pieces I ain’t have she got you know what I’m saying she a z queen…she a blessing to me and I’ma get all my blessings from her.”

He also revealed that the newborn baby’s name is Queen Yuri Kapri.
According to Kodak, whose real name is Bill K. Capri, Jan. 20 marked one year since he was in jail. He was pardoned by Donald Trump while serving a 46-month sentence for using false documents to buy a gun from a federally licensed firearms seller. Hence, the reason why he donned a red cap with Trump’s famous slogan, “MAGA,” in his video.
“I came home 1/20/21 and she coming in this world 1/21/22 that’s great that’s a blessing man…that’s lit,” he said in the clip.
The Florida-bred rapper also talked about how he felt about the anniversary of his first year back home.
“It’s very weird, like the s**t weird…celebrating like, being home a year. But you know, everybody got different journeys, different testimonies and shit,” he said. “I’m a work in progress everyday, working and striving to be a better man, better father, better son, better brother know what I’m saying.”
Last year, TMZ reported that Kodak and his girlfriend, Maranda Johnson, were expecting their first child together. His lawyer, Bradford Cohen, told the outlet that the two had been dating four years when they decided they wanted a baby. Then, he said, they conceived Queen in April 2021.
