Kim Kardashian has apologized to her family over her relationship with ex-husband Kanye West and how it has affected them.
In Thursday’s episode of Hulu’s The Kardashians, the reality star sat down with mom Kris Jenner, sisters Kourtney Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, and Kendall Jenner, Kris’ boyfriend, Corey Gamble, and Kourtney’s then-fiancé, Travis Barker, and revealed that she was done protecting the 44-year-old rapper, Page Six reported.
While Kim has admitted to being very protective of West in previous episodes, she said she would not “let anyone treat” her loved ones “that way” again. In addition, she warned the family that the “Touch the Sky” artist was releasing a new rap song and feared that he would be dissing her on the track.
“He’s talking mad s––t about me and probably saying whatever,” Kim said to the clan.
Khloe offered support to her older sister, saying that “most men are not trashing the mother of their kids like that publicly,” adding, “we don’t have to sit here and throw stones back. We take it on the chin.” Kris also chimed in, reassuring the mother of four that she has “done nothing but be great to him.”
Though West has publicly attacked Kim, her family, and her boyfriend, Pete Davidson, on social media, the momager explained how these situations affect the entire family.
“When people are saying disparaging things about any of us, it hurts all of us because one day your kids are going to read all of it and see all of it, and that’s something that everybody has to be really aware of,” Kris said.
After the family shared their thoughts, Kim added, “all I can do is control how I react to something,” Kim told her family. “I can’t control how he treats me or, you know, how he’s always treated, you guys.”
The 41-year-old realized the impact West’s behavior had on her family and “recognize[s] the impact that my relationship has had on my family” and is taking the opportunity to say, “I’m sorry, guys.”
“And I’ve protected that for so long, but I said I will never let that happen to you guys again and, like, I feel for once in my life, I feel strong,” she declared.
Kim shares four children with the Yeezy founder: North, 8; Saint, 6; Chicago, 4, and Psalm, 3. She filed for divorce from West in February 2021 and became legally single in March, Sis2Sis reported.
