Comedian Kevin Fredericks, also known as Kev On Stage, is set to premiere a new series as of November 26 called What’s Good, which will highlight Black-owned restaurants in the U.S.
Fredercicks’ show is set to premiere on Kev On Stage Studios and will follow a plot of the comedians’ life while he’s touring across the country and discovering local cuisine, according to the show’s trailer.
“It’s always been my dream to create a food travel show,” he said. “I like to eat; I love to go to new cities and eat the food that’s only available in that city.”

On the show What’s Good, Fredericks will be joined on the road by his friends, who also add in their own two cents with snarky comebacks about the food. The series, which will be a perfect combination of comedy and the Food Network, as well as will give viewers insight into each individual restaurant and the inner workings of their businesses and a closer and deeper look into Fredericks’ everyday life.
On his trip across the United States, Fredericks discoveries a variety of ethnic foods and all-American classics.
According to the show’s website, “‘What’s Good?’ follows Kev, Angel, and Tahir while they fill time between performances by filling their stomachs. Traveling the country, they’ll look for the best restaurants and eateries in each stop on their multi-city comedy tour, with the occasional special guest! Ranging from the hottest wing spots in the south to vegan restaurants that make impossible flavors possible, there will be no type of food or topic of conversation that will be off-limits.”
The Houston Chronicle reported that Kev On Stage Studios launched in 2020 as a way for Fredericks to support other comedians and himself amidst the pandemic. The network is available on most streaming services, including Apple TV and Roku, and features original content from the comedian and several others.
