Kenya Duke, Gary Owens’ Ex-Wife, Wants $44,000 A Month In Support

Another male celebrity is learning the financial cost of being a pain in the behind. Gary Owens, one of the white people some Black person invited to the cookout, received a request from his estranged wife Kenya Duke for $44,000 per month in spousal support.

According to Duke, since she filed for divorce from Owens, he has stopped supporting her and their three children and does not respond to text messages she sends that have to do with their finances, People

reported.

According to legal filings acquired by TMZ, it was customary for Gary Owens to deposit $44,000 into his wife’s account each month to cover household expenses and personal spending. Duke, being the logical party, expected that to continue in the midst of the divorce process.

Who can blame her? The nearly 25-year relationship (18 years married) allegedly hit the brakes when Owens cheated on Duke. Unfortunately, cheating is the usual suspect in American relationships gone wrong. But, the scandal ramped up when Duke name-dropped Claudia Jordan in a now-deleted post.

“Tried to be quiet out of respect for my kids, but @claudiajordan has me on one this morning. 23 years together, Gary didn’t have s*** but a raggedy pickup and good credit, no place to live. Dallas, TX, your old a**should know better – Married not separated- married.”

Duke later clarified that it was not Claudia who her husband cheated with but Jordan’s friend.

Kenya Duke has always maintained that she left a promising career to support Gary’s over two decades ago. Her support paid off, as she alleged in her court filings that it was not uncommon for Gary to have $300,000 to $600,000 uncashed checks sitting around at home. She also claimed that their income has never dipped below $100,000 a month, even in the pandemic.

Owens has not responded. Nobody asked us, but Kenya gave him spousal support when she left her career for his. He needs to pay up.
