Migos breaks their four-year hiatus as a group with Culture III, an album set to drop this Friday.
Apparently, this got former NBA player Kendrick Perkins in his feelings, as he tweeted out a not-so-favorable comment about Quavo’s bars over the weekend, leading to a back-and-forth with the rapper on Twitter.
Perkins and Quavo have had tension since 2018 when the “Bad and Boujee” rapper released his debut album. A song on Quavo Huncho, “F**K 12,” featured Quavo taking direct shoots at Perkins’ career in professional basketball, saying, “Every time your b***h phone rings she workin’ / Get no playin’ time, Kendrick Perkins,”

Obviously, this didn’t sit well with the former Boston Celtics player.
Migos members Offset, Quavo and Takeoff tried their hand at going solo after their 2017 album Culture II but recently dropped a music video for their new song, “Straigtenin,” last month.
Taking a moment to come for Quavo’s latest bars, Perkins wrote on Twitter Sunday, “I see @QuavoStuntin still dropping them trash a** bars!!! Carry on…”

Reminding Perkins of the Atlanta rapper’s 2018 diss, a fan shot back, “U still mad cause he dissed u on his solo album 2 years ago get no playing time “Kendrick Perkins.”

“Yeah,” the former baller replied. “And it was straight garbage.”

Word quickly got around to Quavo, who used a picture of Perkins with a Black fist emoji on his chin to promote his upcoming album, captioning the Monday tweet, “#Culture3 Friday!”

“Thank God you’re back with the Migos because this photoshop uppercut is as close as you’ll ever get to a hit as a solo artist! Carry on…” Perkins fired back.

Again, his comments were filled with trolls bringing up Quavo’s “get no playin’ time” line. Ouch.
