Kelly Price resurfaced and revealed where she was when her family reported her missing.
The “Friend Of Mine” singer said that she was sick with COVID-19, and during that battle, she temporarily died.
Price spoke with TMZ about her whereabouts after her family expressed concern that she may have been secretly kept away from her loved ones by the crooner’s new boyfriend.
According to Price, she was never missing, and that after becoming sick and being hospitalized, she decided to isolate herself so that she could focus on recovery.
Not only was she sick, but she told the media outlet that at one point, she died, and hospital personnel was able to resuscitate her.
In a split-screen video with her lawyer, Monica Ewing, Price thanked fans for their thoughts and prayers.
“I want to say thank you to everybody who was concerned. I want to say thank you for your prayers. For every vigil, for every person…um, this is a horrible situation,” she said.
While the public is glad that Price has resurfaced, there seems to be some family drama underneath all of this. Her’s attorney expressed that the singer had been betrayed by her family and that the missing person report was a misuse of the justice system.
“I want Kelly to focus on getting through this part of it because of the emotional aspects she’s dealing with, not only from the illness and the residual impact of the illness but just from the sense of betrayal she’s dealing with from her family,” Ewing said.
Although Price and Ewing’s video should confirm that the singer is safe, her family has been and remains suspicious of the events surrounding her losing touch with them.
Ewing is currently working on getting Price off of the missing person list in Georgia.
We are glad she is well. Hopefully, everything will get straightened out for her.
