Singer Kelis performed her 2003 hit song, “Milkshake,” for the first time in decades on Thursday at the Southampton Arts Center’s Summerfest After Dark Party.
According to Bazaar, the center surprised the audience by distributing milkshakes from rapper Cardi B’s vodka-infused whipped cream, Whipshots.
The vocalist rocked the stage, donning MCM pajamas. Kelis had the pajama top opened and brandished a bedazzled sports bra. The “Bossy” songstress wore layers of jewelry, including a silver body chain with a teardrop diamond above her belly button. Kelis also rocked thick hoop earrings on her ears, blinged out wrists with tons of silver bracelets and rings.
The “Trick Me” singer also slipped her toes into some crystal-embellished heels. Kelis had glittery gold eyeshadow and orange lipstick to match the shimmery and shiny aesthetic.
She posted images of the outfit on her Instagram, with some photos showing Kelis with R&B singer MAAD.
“Born ready,” she captioned the Instagram post. “@shesmadd, now this one, she knows how to have fun!”

Next year marks the 20th anniversary of Kelis’ third studio album, “Tasty,” which includes her hit “Milkshake.”
She spoke with People about how proud she was of herself around the time of the album.
“This is going to sound really cocky and really arrogant, but I saw a picture of myself that someone posted [from the ‘Tasty’ era] earlier today, and I was like, ‘You know what, I was freaking killing it,” she said. “Sometimes you just need to remind yourself, ‘I’ve been this, and I’ve been doing it.’ It’s OK to say that.”
Despite not being understood by the people around her, Kelis made it clear she didn’t care.
“I used to say, back in the day, when I would sit in front of my label heads, and they’d be like, ‘What are you doing, and I was like, ‘well, I’m consistently inconsistent,'” she said. “That works now—because I’ve got over 25 years in the game.”
