Keke Palmer Will Host BET Soul Train Awards

Keke Palmer is taking the stage by storm, and she’s not letting personal drama rain on her parade.

The multi-talented 30-year-old singer and actress has just been announced as the host of this year’s Soul Train Awards, a testament to her confidence, positivity, and undeniable talent.

BET shared a video of Palmer making the announcement in an Instagram video.

The caption read, “The Soul Train is rolling in with @KekePalmer as our fabulous host of this year’s #SoulTrainAwards

—and you’re invited!”

In a press release, Connie Orlando, EVP Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy at BET, gushed, “Keke Palmer is a globally recognized multihyphenate talent who embodies confidence and positivity and is one of the most engaging and lovable personalities working in entertainment today. We can’t wait to have her host the Soul Train Awards house party.”

Connie Orlando went on to add, “BET gave Keke her first talk show, where she made history as the youngest talk show host in television, and today we are honored to have her back on the Soul Train Awards stage. As always, expect our star-studded slate of soulful artists and can’t-miss moments to illuminate your screens for a night dedicated to soul music.”

Keke Palmer’s hosting gig announcement comes on the heels of a challenging personal situation. Just last week, she filed a domestic violence restraining order against her ex, Darius Jackson, and was granted temporary sole custody of their 8-month-old son, Leodis, with no visitation rights for Jackson.

During the show, we can expect special performances by talented artists such as BJ the Chicago Kid, Coco Jones, Danté Bowe, Fridayy, Muni Long, SWV, and of course, the radiant Keke Palmer herself. With such a lineup, the Soul Train Awards is bound to be an unforgettable event.

The Soul Train Awards, set to be taped in Los Angeles, will premiere on Sunday, November 26th at 8 p.m. ET on BET. This promises to be a night of soul, R&B, and hip-hop celebration that fans won’t want to miss.

Keke Palmer’s resilience and commitment to her career are truly commendable, and fans can’t wait to see her shine as the host of the Soul Train Awards.
