It’s not every day that you see drama turn into an opportunity to shine like a supernova, but leave it to the ever-sassy Keke Palmer to show us how it’s done.
Just weeks after a little lover’s tiff with her beau, the Nope actress is dropping jaws as the leading lady in none other than Usher’s sizzling new music video for his track “Boyfriend.”
In a bold move that screams “I don’t need no man to define my glow,” Palmer has taken her recent spat with boyfriend Darius Jackson and flipped the script with all the charisma of a true queen.
It all started innocently enough. Darius decided to be a fashion critic for a hot minute, throwing shade at Palmer’s outfit choice during an Usher concert in Las Vegas. Quick recap: sheer dress over a fitted bodysuit. Darius pulled his best “you a mom” line, and the internet collectively rolled its eyes.
Usher, the maestro of controversy, heard the chatter and thought, “Well, why not turn this into art?” And just like that, Palmer became the star of Usher’s “Boyfriend” music video. In a teaser video he dropped on Instagram, we see Palmer rocking a blue mane, striking poses in front of a vanity, and casually sipping champagne as if she’s saying, “Yeah, I look good, and I know it.”

The Twitter streets are alive and buzzing, with one fan hilariously pointing out that Usher might just be the villain we all need to be talking about right now.
Another fan wrote, “Keke baby daddy sliding down the wall listening to B2K right now.”
Another quipped, “It’s giving this was all a promo stunt. She layin up underneath that man RIGHT now scrolling and laughing at the comment section.” Touché, Twitter, touché.
So here’s to Keke Palmer, the true definition of “I’ll take that drama and raise you an Usher music video.”
