The highly-anticipated tenth album “DONDA” by Kanye West finally dropped on Aug. 29 after three listening parties. The third listening party occurred in Chicago on Aug. 26 at Soldier Field.
“DONDA” has already been streamed more than one million times and is number one in 130 countries on Apple music. West’s song “Jail” featuring Jay-Z and Francis and the Lights premiered at #1 Spotify U.S. The track already had more than four million streams.
West was criticized for bringing DaBaby and Marilyn Manson on stage during the event.
Both men are featured on the album, but DaBaby has been in the news recently due to his misogynistic and homophobic comments during his set at Rolling Loud in Miami over the summer. Manson has been accused of sexual assault by several women, including his ex-fianceé, actress Evan Rachael Wood.
Despite the controversy constantly surrounding West, fans seem to love the album and took to social media to praise “DONDA.” Others had jokes.

Those that didn’t like the album were not shy about letting it be known, including Chris Brown, who posted and later deleted that Kanye was “A Whole Hoe.” Another person said that “DONDA” was the worst album in history.
“Just finished listening to DONDA, currently lost for words man, crying real tears bro, this is quite possibly the worst album I have ever heard. My ears are literally dripping with blood, currently on my way to the emergency room. Thanks Kanye West.”
