In reaction to a comment Eilish made at a recent show, Kanye West said he “needs” his fellow headliner to apologize before the festival takes place, or he’ll drop Coachella.
In an Instagram post, the 44-year-old rapper West has demanded that Eilish, 20, apologize to Travis Scott. At a concert earlier last week in Atlanta, Eilish stopped her show and said, “I wait for people to be OK before I keep going,” offering an inhaler to a distressed fan who needed it.
West took that as shade toward Scott, who West said will perform with him during his headlining Coachella 2022 set. Yet, Eilish never mentioned Scott. Eilish is also a headliner at this year’s festival.
West posted on his Instagram a screenshot from the account @RapSeaTV, reading: “Billie Eilish dissed Travis Scott at her concert after she stopped the show from giving her fan an inhaler! ‘I wait for the people to be OK before I keep going.’”
In the Instagram post, he wrote:
“COME ON, BILLIE. WE LOVE YOU. PLEASE APOLOGIZE TO TRAV AND TO THE FAMILIES OF THE PEOPLE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES NO ONE INTENDED THIS TO HAPPEN TRAV DIDN’T HAVE ANY IDEA OF WHAT WAS HAPPENING WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE AND WAS VERY HURT BY WHAT HAPPENED, AND YES, TRAV WILL BE WITH ME AT COACHELLA, BUT NOW I NEED BILLIE TO APOLOGIZE BEFORE I PERFORM”

Eilish responded, “Literally never said a thing about Travis. Was just helping a fan,” she wrote.
The post also came after West thanked Scott on Instagram for telling him about a birthday party for his 4-year-old daughter Chicago West that he claimed he wasn’t invited to.
