Grammy Award-winning musician Kanye West has been urged to find another bank after JPMorgan Chase recently terminated their relationship.
According to conservative Candace Owens, West’s banking relationship with JPMorgan Chase has ended. On October 12, she shared an alleged statement by the institution, which announced that the rappers’ accounts with them would close by November 21.
“Earlier today, I learned that @kanyewest was officially kicked out of JP Morgan Chase bank,” Owens tweeted that day. “I was told there was no official reason given, but they sent this letter as well to confirm that he has until late November to find another place for the Yeezy empire to bank.”

The alleged statement itself indicated that JPMorgan Chase “decided to end its banking relationship with Yeezy, LLC and its affiliated entities.”
“Dear Ye, We are sending this letter to confirm our recent discussion with [redacted name] that JPMorgan Chase Bank, N. A (the “Bank”) has decided to end its banking relationship with Yeezy, LLC and its affiliated entities (collectively, the “Company”),” it read. “To provide the Company with sufficient time to transition to another financial institution, we will continue to maintain the accounts (attached as Exhibit A), including all related products and services, until November 21, 2022.”
On October 13, West addressed the tweet and confirmed the end of his banking relationship with JPMorgan. He had done so during the screening of Owens’ new documentary, The Greatest Lie Ever Sold, Page Six reported.
“Hey, if you call somebody out for bad business, that means you’re being [racist],” he said regarding a controversial now-deleted IG post he shared recently. “I feel happy to have crossed the line of that idea so we can speak openly about things like getting canceled by a bank.”
He then added that he’s “the richest black man in American history.”
In other Ye news, a TikTok video of him eating at a soul food restaurant by himself in L.A. has been making rounds on the internet. The viral video was allegedly captured by the cashier in secret, which many users felt was invasive of the musician’s privacy.
@firesnippet #KanyeWest pulled up to the hood by himself jus to eat some soul food 😂
