Kanye West announced on Aug. 18 that he would be having a third “Donda” listening party, according to ABC7 Chicago. In a since-deleted post on Instagram, the musician said the listening party would take place on Aug. 26 at Soldier Field.
The “Donda”‘ listening party is scheduled to begin at 9 p.m., and tickets for the event went on sale on Aug. 20. Rumors about another listening party circulated after an employee at Soldier Field noted that a large event was happening there soon.
Fans have been anxiously awaiting West’s next album, which was supposed to drop at the end of July.
Another date for the release was scheduled for Aug. 6, but the album has still yet to be released. West promised fans that it would be released a few days after the “Donda” event.

Ye had his first two “Donda” listening parties on July 22 in Atlanta. The city also presented West with a plaque to accompany their gift of naming July 22 “Kanye West Day” in Atlanta. West also had a second live stream in Atlanta where the musician streamed a silent session of him “finishing” his album.
Fans seemed excited about another listening event. One Twitter user said that having the event in Chicago was fitting to honor his mother, Donda, whom the album is named after. Others had jokes and want the album already.
“Kanye going back to Chicago for the last event is very fitting for the last, it’s kinda like him returning to his mom for the final event before release which is very fitting. “Soldier Field” a soldier finally coming home is what vibes I get from it. #DONDA.”
