Kanye West Says Media Is Using Lizzo As A Mean To Further “Black Genocide” In Interview

Kanye West spouted some questionable rhetoric in his latest interview with Tucker Carlson on October 6, a highlight of which centered around ‘Juice’ artist Lizzo. Carlson, Fox News political commentator, conducted an exclusive interview in which Kanye talked about his supposed “good friend’s” weight.  He claimed that there were systemic barriers in place to keep her from losing weight.

Kanye started by saying that he and Lizzo shared the same trainer and that it allowed him private information about systemic procedures working under the surface that target Black people. He gave an example of Lizzo’s weight loss portrayal in the public eye as being evidence of the media’s intention to enact a “genocide” on Black people.

“Now let’s talk about Gabby [Vogue fashion editor Gabriella Karefa-Johnson] and my good friend Lizzo,” West said. “Lizzo works with my trainer, a friend of mine, Harley Pasternak. When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots — that’s a term for people like… telemarketers on the Instagram— they attack her because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it’s actually unhealthy.”

“Let’s get aside the fact of whether it’s fashion in Vogue, which it’s not, or if someone thinks it’s attractive, to each his own. It’s actually clinically unhealthy,” he repeated his stance with renewed vigor, “And for people to promote that, it’s demonic.”

Carlson asked for clarification, and Kanye replied. “It’s a genocide of the Black race. They want to kill us in any way they can.”

The three-time Grammy Award winner is big on plus-sized beauty and women empowerment through promoting body positivity. Her message isn’t just performative either; Lizzo launched

a clothing line meant to be an avenue to accentuate natural beauty in all different sizes.
